Whether you are a student, businessman, office employee, serviceman, or any other, it is essential to make good use of one’s individual time. The very first step towards success is efficient time management. Good time management skills help students prioritize tasks so they are able to complete their studies and revisions on time. Students are able to plan ahead, set aside the time they need for practicing test series, and make better use of that time.

HOW TO MANAGE TIME
Time management for students (and everyone else) is about being purposeful with your day. It’s about taking control of what time you do have and optimizing it for productivity, focus, and above all balance.
Few steps how to manage Time :
** Use a daily schedule template to plan your day Classes, seminars, orientation courses and office might take up the majority of your day, but how you schedule your own time can make all the difference. Having a daily schedule template in place puts you in control. Set time for your studies, office, classes, also time for breaks, food, exercise, social time, calling family and friends, and all the other such tasks that become part of your daily life and keep you happy and motivated. It will help you stay organized, focused on what matters most, and even help you overcome procrastination.
** Understand how you’re currently spending your time In order to build better time management habits, you need to know how you’re actually spending your time. Without a clear understanding of where your time goes each day, it’s impossible to build better time management strategies. When you analyse this you will be able to identify many unproductive activities which you can avoid to utilize that time for some productive work.
** Set proper goals to measure your progress Goals are a great way to get motivated to do work. You can set daily, weekly targets to achieve and analyse your performance. This would help to move ahead in a planned way making optimum utilisation of time and you will be able to measure your performance and make necessary changes. Make sure you set a realistic target as setting too high which you cannot achieve will leave you demotivated.
** Break work into small, actionable tasks In order to achieve the ultimate goal it is important to break large goals down into daily tasks. Not only does this keep you focused, but it also keeps a check on pending stuff i.e. how far we have come and how far we need to go. It’s easy to procrastinate when a target feels like such a huge task.
** Follow your body We all have moments in the day where we’re more alert and energetic. You should do your most important work when you have the most energy. This means scheduling writing or more learning part during energy highs, and scheduling reading or more passive activities when you’re more naturally low.
** Take breaks at the right time One of the best ways to maintain your productivity over time is to take more breaks. Our minds naturally crave breaks after every 90 minutes of intense work. Even if you don’t keep a timer going, your body will tell you when you need a break by becoming hungry, sleepy, fidgeting, or losing focus. So disconnect from whatever you were just working on, get out of that space, give rest to your eyes, fuel your body etc.. and then get back to work.
** Optimize your study time It’s tempting to think you can multitask when your schedule is crammed. But the more you try to do at once, the longer everything takes. Instead, studies have found that deeply focusing on a single task at a time be more productive.
Time is limited, once gone, it never comes back. If you can manage your time efficiently, you wouldn’t be far from attaining your goals. It is thus important for you to make the most of it. So, be more productive by effectively managing time.
